Yay for new hair!
I finally got my hair done after almost a year! Gasp! Luckily for me my hair is pretty healthy and doesn’t have a lot of damage allowing me to go so long between salon services. These are my hair care must haves that keep my hair healthy and looking as frizz free as possible.
The top items on the list of my hair care must haves would have to be Joico K-Pak Color Therapy shampoo and conditioner. I made the switch several months back from drug store products and I will never look back! It really does make a big difference to my hair texture and manageability. However, I also love using the Clairol Shimmer Lights purple shampoo when I feel my tone needs a refresh. I wash my hair with Joico about twice per week and Shimmer Lights once a month or so.
Leave-in and heat protector
After I wash my hair and towel dry it a bit, I spray in the It’s a 10 Silk Express Miracle leave-in and brush though with my Wet Brush. I typically let my hair air dry rather than blow dry it. Before heat styling my hair I spray the Tresemme Heat Tamer and brush though.
Depending on what look I’m going for, I use various tools to style my hair. Most often I will touch up my hair line and baby hairs with my Babyliss straightner. I have legitimately had this exact straightner for over 10 years and it’s still going strong! I will also straighten the ends of my hair a bit because I like the look it creates after I curl it with my L’ange wand. My L’ange wand is another top item on my hair care must haves list. I use this tool most often when styling my hair. I love the effortless looking waves it creates.
Styling different looks
Sometimes I like to curl my hair with just my straighter to create a slightly more polished curl. The other tools I will occassionally use include my Hot Tools curling iron and my Revlon 3 Barrel curler. The 3 barrel curler is what I used to create the crimped like waves in yesterday’s post about my Gucci belt dupe. https://spottedjules.com/2019/08/01/amazon-gucci-belt-dupe/
Finishing the style
I finish my hairstyle off with It’s a 10 Miracle Oil plus Keratin and Loreal Elnett hairspray. For an extra glam look I add the It’s a 10 Miracle Shine Spray. I use the Dove dry shampoo in between washes and the teasing comb to add volume to my crown.
